Glassjaw Rocks Best Buy Theatre

Last night Glassjaw rocked Best Buy Theatre in Times Square, NY. With numerous line up changes since 1993 front man, Daryl Palumbo, and guitarist, Justin Beck, prove that this regime has the fortitude and stamina to keep influencing the "post-hardcore", underground scene. Also on the roster are drummer, Durijah Lang, and bassist, Manuel Carrero who add immensely to the all-star team.

Not stirring away to far from older hits off of Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence, they played most notably "Lovebites and Razorlines"and "Siberian Kiss" amongst other stellar tracks of the album.  Definitely appeasing the hard core fans.  One couldn't help to feel you were experiencing the songs for the first time.  Each song was performed with such fervor that those in attendance could appreciate the energy conveyed on stage and use it as fuel to unleash hell in the pit.  Worship And Tribute was represented nicely on the set list. Playing 'Two Tabs Of Mescaline", "Mu Empire", "Pink Roses" and "Stuck Pig" as well as a couple others.

However, this definitely is the year of new GJ tracks.  Boy, how these fellas have grown.  Released earlier this year on Itunes, Our Color Green (The Singles), which birthed a new era of GJ music.  Extremely intense, heavy and equally melodic tunes accompanied by the theatrical shrill vocals of Mr. Palumbo.  "You Think You're (John F*****g Lennon)", which was released before the other singles on GJ's website was only a teaser at what these guys were developing into. That five track pack of singles would only lead to a new direction, which we find GJ today. For there current tour GJ is giving away, with purchase of a ticket, Coloring Book.  A six track set of singles, nothing fans have experienced from them until now.  With Coloring Book we can see a new experimental GJ.  Not to say GJ hasn't shaped and molded the genre.  I heard these singles performed live before I got my hands on the CD it is truly an experience. Justin implements key board and crashing, hard synth to the song "Vanilla Poltergeist Snake".  "Daytona White", a very mellow Radio Headesque production, has Daryl really using his vocal ability to stress how good of a singer he really is.  What's really rare is that all through Coloring Book Daryl only sings.  Which lends to the over all feel of the singles and its sincerity in the lyrics.

Glassjaw's "hiatus" is a false claim on the bands absence.  With the last 11 singles they have put out these dudes were working and its evident in the final product.  They are currently on a North American tour, stopping by NJ @ the Star Land Ballroom. For other news and tour locations check out Glassjaw.com

Fragile World Sees Trying Times. Recess is over.

The media frenzy over the Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy's war crimes, tactful and equally harmful, is to substantial to ignore.  President Barack Obama on Tuesday expressed hope that Libya's opposition movement, given new protection by a U.S. led military mission, can organize itself to revive enough enthusiasm for political change and oust Moammar Gadhafi from power.  In efforts to apply even more pressure on Gadhafi's army the United States and its coalition partners, including NATO allies and Arab states, are establishing a no-fly zone over Libya, with U.S. forces taking out Khadafy's air defense systems.  A smart move and very promising, yet still has come under heavy opposition from Republicans. Democrats have also joined in.  Arguing that the funding and preparation isn't secure enough to act against a regime unwilling to suspend attacks on civilian opposition in Libya.

After declaring President Obama's decision to order airstrikes on Libya a potential "impeachable offense," Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich is calling for an immediate halt to all funds for any further military action in the conflict.

"Now the immediate thing that Congress needs to do when it returns is to cut off any funds for continuing in Libya and I intend to bring forward such an amendment," Kucinich said to CNN, speaking on the Congressional recess.  White House officials insist the President's actions are within the law, referencing a letter sent by Mr. Obama to House Speaker John Boehner. The letter explains the airstrikes are part of an international mission to enforce a "no-fly zone" authorized by a United Nations Security Council Resolution.  The letter, the administration argues, satisfies the War Powers Act which requires the President to inform Congress within 48 hours of engaging in any military action.

Kucinich points to Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution which places the power to "declare war" in the hands of Congress.

"It is very clear that what President Obama did is beyond what the Constitution permits a president to do. That really isn't disputable," Kucinich argued.
In a series of interviews on Monday, Kucinich suggested the President could be impeached for his actions.

"Now, impeachment is a process. I haven't gotten into that. I raised the question as to whether or not he exceeded his authority and raising the question as to whether or not it is an impeachable offense," Kucinich said.

Whether or not Kucinich hasn't acted on the process of impeachment, why even bother mentioning it?  Is he cognizant of the fact that Khadafy has literally been utilizing tanks and rumored to have even used snipers to prevent expansion of the opposition in Misrata.  What Obama has done is nothing unfamiliar. Many of his predecessors have utilized the 48 hr rule.  It amazes me how disillusioned agendas, especially in the government refuse to grasp the severity of situations.  Honestly, Kucinich, wait after the congressional recess to deal with Libya?

The fact remains that America being a super power comes with obligations to our fellow nations.  Obama has especially emphasized this in his campaign, rebuilding foreign relations.  So this is a perfect opportunity.  Not to mention what has happened in Egypt inadvertently has caused a rift between dictators and those oppressed.  It seems as if though society as a whole, countries idealistically connected have regained that fervent belief in being free.  If aiding and promoting opposition against regimes threatening a free society is not priority I don't know what is, on a global scale.

South By South West: A Bitter Sweet Consummation

I have to start out by saying my first experience of SXSW was nothing less than extraordinary.  Having had the opportunity to work closely with Cornerstone Promotion event staff at The Fader Fort in Austin, Texas has left me with a humbling experience.  Leaving there with friendships and opportunities I feel I'd never gain by not attending.  It goes with out saying SXSW is the culmination of everything you SHOULD know about the current climate in the world of entertainment i.e. music, film and media. However, you probably haven't been properly exposed to due to the over saturated main stream bubble we may sometimes fall victim to.  I am confident in the fact that all the others who worked, performed, show cased, paneled or simply attended feel the same. For the sake of not sounding redundant, because I can go on about how stoked the experience was, I would like to take this time to provide a closer look into the events and highlights from the most gnarly week in entertainment festivals.

6th street in down town Austin was flooded from early afternoon till the AM with performers, which many of time rivaled artists who are currently on radio.  Not having an official venue many artists took advantage of the closed off streets to claim their own time for exposure.  If you needed a break from the tunes there was an abundance of street artists showcasing their talents through a plethora of mediums.  The fact is there is literally nothing you couldn't find to keep you entertained.

All Dinosaurs, a lesser known group making their presence known through out the midwest caught my eye and revitalized how I viewed the thrash/punk scene.  These Cleveland boys know how to take exciting scream driven lyrics and melodically twist their twangy guitars and bass around the throats of the audience. Just when you think you can gasp for one last breath the spazzed out drum play bombards your ears with such smooth high hat and fill work you're to busy to remember what your situation was.  There EP "Paranoid Indigenous" is a very solid listen and guarantees a full listen through each time.

Punk icon Bad Brains also debuted at SXSW making it the bands first ever performance at the festival.

Although all genres of music are covered at this spectacle of an event it was HIP HOP that stole the show for this week in March.  The Fader Fort did its fair share of providing some of the most relevant and highly anticipated rookies in the genre to the front lines.  Showcasing Yelawolf, Odd Future, Lil' B(base god) and one of the most talked about artists in the game Wiz Khalifa.

Even if Lil' B's performance, especially with Diddy's unexpected introduction, seemed to be the highlight at the fort, Yelawolf single handedly held down the best performance of the Hip Hop acts that week for The Fader.  His ability to spit so furiously and on point made his album "Trunk Muzik 0-60" literally jump out the speakers and smack the shit of the audience. His live performance took the songs he performed to another level creating a sense of sincerity we sometimes fail to see from artists alike.

It was truly a bitter sweet end to an event I felt I could had experienced for weeks, maybe even months if I was so lucky.  What SXSW does so well is having a community in Austin, Texas and a following all over the world literally converge for the two weeks and celebrate all that is fresh and invigorating in music, film and media.

THERE WILL BE MUCH MORE COVERAGE SOON AND STAY TUNED FOR IRRATIONALMONSTER.COM

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Andy Milonakis

Andy Milonakis just dropped his new mixtape Hot Soup, which can be found on datpiff.com amongst other websites.  Let me begin by saying THIS SHIT GOES HARD!  From his intro track, "Evil Acapella," to the outtro the not stop hilarity definitely ensues, but that doesn't mean he doesn't portray some pretty hot rhyming skills.

If you don't remember this 35 year old guy trapped in a kids body then you probably have been living under a rock.  He had one of the most bizarre and equally hilarious television shows on MTV for a few seasons before it was canceled.  Even between his weird sketches Andy was showcasing his affinity of hip-hop by free styling through out the shows episodes.

There is a very eclectic style to the mixtape.  Sounds ranging from electronic, contemporary hip-hop and fusions between both genres.  He also does a very good job on throwing on that somewhat authentic Jamaican accent and actually produces two sick reggae tracks. I can definitely see the Dutty Wine being implemented on the dance floor when these songs get played.

Andy produced a solid mixtape regardless if it isn't as sincere as the majority of artists out there.  He has some better skills than some hip-hop rappers I have seen before so that counts for something.  My personal favorites off the record I think people should acknowledge are "We Never Sleep" ft Rich Hill & Dirt Nasty, "Chicken Town", "Zumbi Phonostar" remix.

Trend Within A Trend. Evidently No End.

David Fincher went on to direct, The Social Network, an adaptation of events leading to the creation of Facebook.  Captivating an audience who had grown with the site that has influenced and shaped a standard for social networks.  Whether, Mark Zuckerberg, actually did "dick" over his faction of conspirators is up to the viewer and the individual.  However, one thing is certain. With the advent of social sites bombarding our computers, cell phones, media and rhetoric there is no sign of slowing down.  From MySpace, Twitter, to Facebook each provide the service of connecting with millions of members.  The only difference is accessibility.

How fast can I post, view and comment on my friends last update.  Facebook quickly took over the top spot. Especially after it was completely open to the public.  I'm sure many people don't even remember when Facebook was only intended and exclusive to college students, requiring student emails as a basis for registration.  Still the question remains, "what is the difference?"  Facebook and most notably Twitter are better capable in accessing and delivering information quicker.

The trend here is speed in which a person can obtain the info. Myspace as a whole offers a shit ton more media applications than both the other sites.  They offer music and video channels Facebook doesn't, blog options unseen from others.  As a musician this would seem more ideal to me in attempting to showcase my music or an artistry from an individual.  However, modern society expects to obtain more information faster than ever.  Especially how the landscape of technology paved the way for how we receive information.  Twitter and Facebook aren't the leaders in social networking because they offer a substantially improved, redefined alternative to its predecessors.  They are the leaders because they are quick and more trendy.  The problem with trends is exactly what defines them.  They are predestined, obsolete contributers to an ongoing trend.

The fact remains, trends are rocketed in to the spotlight because they offer a different face to something familiar that we can call our own before it catches on.  Now it is cool to Tweet and ironically #trend within the trendy social application itself.  Yes, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace are all trends.  They are popular because they are a new way of looking at the same thing.   Obviously I am not denying the overwhelmingly important and beneficial social implications.  It is just Myspace still does what all the others do and quite frankly rendered more aesthetically.  Im simply stating that sooner than later the next phenomenon in social networking will come along and captivate the minds and souls of every other inquisitive being. In no way am I picking sides.  Something faster and more efficient seems to be the only factor that could solidify an opportunity at longevity.  The way I see it is why let Zuckerberg make millions if not billions by now when we all have a trendy bone left inside us.  I'm trying to get my hands on that trend money.

Homage, To Life Less Ordinary: Pseudo Retrospective

"I can remember the time I was a kaleidoscope. How the snow distorted the image of what was only one of you and I didn't know which one to address as all your lips moved. What I saw was how the hills cherished their ambition, attempt to turn into partial differential equations. How they all wanted to become something of their own. Just like I did." RSG

The exhausting idea of creativity, the act of attempting to harness what may seem the last scrape of individuality can burden the purest soul.  Eventually, even the most grounded individuals face the notion of creative ineptitude. Focusing on the one aspect of them self they think will detonate a blast of exposure.  It seemed impossible to me earlier in life that there was nothing I can do to differentiate myself from other kids full of angst.  I was destined to be one of them, null and void, with out a prolific emphasis.  It was only in my early twenties when I realized what I needed to do, to brake my self from personal wall of creativity.  To call on my direction towards a creative path I had to draw from others.  With the climate of music, art, and media it seems we may be finally breaking that curse that has plagued us for what seems like way to long.  It is the fusion of culture and inverse realities that are producing some of the most original stuff my generation has seen.

Street Art, PoP Art and styles alike have bombarded the scene in the last several years with some of the most amazing cultural, influential and memorable pieces it has ever seen.  Shepard Fairey, started plastering stickers and stencils all over Charleston, South Carolina, 15 years ago.  Which catapulted his infamous images of Andre The Giants face to be the figure of one of the top selling urban fashion clothing lines across the world, coined  "Obey Giant."     Recently, and most notably was his inspirational renderings of President Obama's face. Tastefully expressed with the colors of our flag, with a youthful sensibility.  Point being he drew from the current of politics, a nation sick of a war, tired with and administration they saw no progress in and saw something positive in a change promised by Obama, to create a piece that will transcend our generation.
It doesn't end with Fairey.  Street art phenom Banksy does exactly the same. Drawing from his personal ideals on corporate thugs, mischievous politicians and misleading leaders, to create powerful messages conveying resistance using genius stencil designs.
Music has reaped the benefits in surmounting scales.  If you look at who is on top right now you will see what platform they are running to acquire such attention.  Lady GaGa for instance has compiled quite possibly the biggest following of any Bill Board artist the past few years. Say what you will about her music, that it mimics that of early Madonna or antics of Cher, but she is completely original in the fact that she essentially carries a majority, or what seems like it, of the gay/lesbian community.  Not to mention other idealistic reform issues she constantly includes in her lyrics and staged press conferences.  She is drawing from the diversity in our society and creating art from what is projected back to her.  It is evident and notably a main reason she is the top contender in pop music.

The media has with out a doubt taken advantage of the diversity and dichotomy of this society and morphed it into the most responsive outlet for all sorts of awareness.  Social networking sites (Face Book), blog sites (Tumblr), special interest forums, magazines, radio and television have all regained a sense of sincerity and legitimacy once again.  With so many new media entrepreneurs in viral web based production, shows like The Daily Show, with John Stewart, Anderson Cooper 360, and the onslaught of new talents breaking honest and new ground in delivering the news. Virtually every individual is covered and can relate to a variety of hosts.  Again, media this time is reaching out to its audience and included the influence in the creative production process.

The fact remains, the creative world and artistry is begging for more out the individual trying to make a name for them self.  "Who are you? What are you saying?" seem to be more important now than ever. The driving factor in determining who we choose to acknowledge and appreciate in producing what we perceive exceptional art, an outlet not for the faint of heart, a process of integrity and compassion.  Artistry has regained its proper platform and its the convergence of sincerity towards the masses.

We Came From Humble Beginnings

As Austin Texas prepares to unleash its popular annual music, film, interactive conference and festival next week, South By South West, the question of individuality and progression in the industry comes to question.  What are we to expect from the leading festival in exposure?

With out question you can expect leaders in all genres of film, music and multi media production.  Names like Dane Cook, premiering his movie "Detention."  A somewhat satirical take on cliche high school horror films. "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop", a documentary which he let film during his last years comedy tour. Sure to let any true O'brian fan get a glimpse at the "king of gingers" shine through his off televised production.

Besides the countless screenings, over a hundred films to be premiered.  The industry panels and workshops.  My focus still remains on the music.

Since I will be in attendance and covering SXSW, my focus remains on the new comers to the eclectic event.  Hip Hop teen king, Mac Miller, and his stoner heavy lyrics.  To Skream's, DubStep icon, first appearance.

Truly SXSW never fails to enlighten, indulge the participants and attendees of the festival.  I'm proud to announce the launch of irrationalmonster.com, March 14, as we showcase this event.  We will be following a rad group of dudes, The UpperClassMen, and their journey to their performance.  From humble beginnings in New York, to western expansion. They are bringing a sincere, original hip-hop sound that can't be over looked. Do not miss out and you better stay tuned. It will be epic!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE

It was during my NyQuil induced haze I began to search my Itunes library for the perfect background soundtrack to ease the pressure to my aching head from this virus or flue I have been battling.  That is when I realized the primary musical project and brain child of guitarist, Ben Chasny's, Six Organs new folk, percussive element band would hit the spot.  Six Organs Of Admittance has all the elements of accompanying any folk enthusiasts music library, not to mention soothing any acid trips hallucinations.  Not to mention all the great contributing artists to his albums who make them all come together.  His intricate guitar licks wrap around the mind of soul of the listener, provoking and enticing you to try and grasp the sounds, because they seem tangible.  His chord structure and strumming are warm and can sooth any volatile soul.  According to Chasny's official site, a new Six Organs of Admittance album entitled Asleep On The Floodplain is slated for release in February 2011.  If you haven't been able to grab a copy of the album, don't worry, he has a plethora of others.

Here is one of my favorites "Eight Cognition / All You've Left"

What Have We Learned Thus Far?

What have we learned from our presence in the Middle East so far?  For starters, they are a resilient people.  Their culture, more importantly their religion, has been followed for over 1,300 years, practicing from the Qur'an.  97% of those in Libya are Muslim.  Recently with the focus on Libya one must ask them self, is our military presence really going to abolish a standard of life and mind set that millions hold across the land?

Military relief in form of care, supplies and important medical attention is beneficial, however, is calling for U.S. arms to drastic?  Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a Senate panel Wednesday that "there may well be a role for military assets to get equipment and supplies into areas that have a need for them" and in areas where the United States is welcome. But she noted the Arab League statement issued Wednesday that rejected "any foreign interference within Libya on behalf of the opposition, even though they have called for Gadhafi to leave." "The tough issues about how and whether there would be any intervention to assist those who are opposing Libya is very controversial within Libya and within the Arab community," Clinton told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. "So we are working closely with our partners and allies to try to see what we can do and we are engaged in very active consideration of all the different options that are available."  We learned from our previous endeavors into the land that these are a people whose way of life has transcended our culture, that has been practiced nearly a thousand of years before Christianity and has been deeply ingrained into the minds of its followers.  In Libya right now you have Col. Moammar Gadhafi ruling over a country divided.  Those protesting, fleeing from his grasp, a social massacre; figuratively and literally at times.  Then you have those who say they truly back their commander, but one has to think that fear must play a hand.  Contrary to what supporters may claim, Gadhafi, is under war crime investigation.  This still doesn't account for our presence.  Still the fact remains, a country established under such substantial regard to faith and nearly no social independence stands a very tough chance of growing over night, let alone even years.

Since the Bush administration, spilling over into Obama's we have had military presence all over the region, most notably Afghanistan and Iraq.  With successful drone attacks in those regions, stated by President Obama, things are said to be getting better. I ask what was so successful? It has been since the absence of the Bush administration that we have learned there were no Weapons Of Mass Destruction. WMD's... DUN DUN DUNNNNN.  That is why were were suppose to be there, right?  Do not get me wrong any and all threats made and uncovered should be elaborated on and hopefully rectified accordingly.  The 9/11 attacks were horrific and unspeakably malicious. So if we discovered there were no weapons, haven't caught Bin Laden and still cant seem to find him why are we still there?  Yes, drones have destroyed terrorist bunkers, and eliminated high status allies to Bin Laden.  However, Al Qaeda represents a small mentality of the Middle East society.

I mentioned earlier these are a people who remained unchanged for centuries.  A culture who now seems more divided then ever.  With revolution seeming to be the popular move why not Libya?  Why not Afghanistan and Iraq? The answer is why not? We all deserve our freedom, independence, all the amendments we attribute to our society.  So far our military presence in the form of violence seems to have unfounded benefits. There should be no question that our help is needed more than ever.  If their is a reason to have our presence it is now.  When these societies are calling for change and need our help, this is when we should carry out action when we know we can promise a difference other eliminating a few less insignificant threats.  You change a world in the right direction the bad is weeded out. The Bush administration set out to find an enemy they knew nothing about, to change a society they did not understand.  What we have here now is a country with all their cards on the table.  We see them for who and what they are, more importantly what they want. Lets help them get it.

The Fiasco Continues...

When Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco was basking in the glory from of his success with sophomore album, The Cool, there was much talk about his possible retirement from the game.  In an interview by HipHopDX.com a few years back when ask how sure he was about retiring, Lupe said, "85% sure" he would be retiring soon. "It actually fluctuates," Lupe continued, "It was 96% about a week ago…I just get tired you know? I get tired. It's a tiring pace that I keep. You see that show I just did? I gotta do that again tomorrow. With this hoarse voice I gotta find a way to do it again. Then get on a bus for 16 hours, get up and do it all over again for the next two weeks."  It has seemed quite possibly the Fiasco might calm to a slow pace.  Eliminating a strong force in the hip-hop industry. "I realized stuff that was exciting to me [when I found fame] was stuff I was already doing. A lot of the stuff that people would equate with success, I was already doing at like 19. So now that I'm here at 25 it's like …there's not much left to excite me."

That was 2007 and nearly four years later he is back in a big way with, Lasers, his latest studio album on Atlantic Records set to be released March 8, 2011.   Producers that contributed to the album include The Audibles, The Neptunes, Needlz, Alex da Kid, Syience, and long-time collaborator Soundtrakk, among others. Trey Songz, John Legend, Skylar Grey, Sway, Matt Mahaffey, MDMA, Eric Turner and Sarah Green contribute vocals to the album.

His latest single and video for "The Show Goes On" off Lasers is with out a doubt a solid track and leads one to imagine how powerful the rest of his album will be.  "The Show Goes On" features a sampled guitar lick from a Modest Mouse song, "Float On."  Which serves the beat very well, not to mention that Modest Mouse song gained the group critical acclaim on a mainstream level.  The songs lyrics have a very inspirational tones with lyrics "One in the air for the people ain't here.
Two in the air for the father that's there. Three in the air for the kids in the ghetto. Four for the kids that don't wanna be there. None for the niggas tryna hold them back. Five in the air for the teachers not scared." This seems to be the overall tone of the song.

It is great that Lupe has returned with a new album, which promises to fall nothing short than a huge success.  The fact still remains does the lapse in time from his Cool album prove the artist  has lost interest in the game.  Or does this show a new saga in the Fiasco we have all come to love?  The world will find out March 8.

If You Are An Asshole Read This

WARNING! If you are an asshole and choose to keep up with your asshole like tendencies, you will die.

According to a new academic paper, it is the smart kids and dorks who will live longer. Not only that, they will suffer fewer diseases before they die. Sorry Charlie looks like you are SOL.  My regards to Mr. Sheen.  Basically, the report draws a correlation between intelligence and health.  In this case the more intelligent the better socially aware and nicer the individual. If you're and idiot, you are deemed a DOUCHE.  Those with higher IQs, better educated individuals are said to be capable of relating negative effects to harmful recreational practices.  Such as smoking, excessive alcohol intake and drugs.  Not only because nicer individuals seem to live longer by abstaining from certain detrimental activities, they have less chances of experiencing natural disorders as well.  Alexander Weiss and David Batty of the University of Edinburgh, “is that intelligence might capture suboptimal neurodevelopment.”  This means that less intelligent, meaner people might have suffered from worse brain construction.  Also, these individuals show greater potential of experiencing disease and other health issues.

The study shows connection between lower IQ individuals and hospital admission statistics in order to provided as much of a concise study as possible.  I suppose the asshole factor ties in to being a moron.  In that case I can guarantee I'll be much nicer from now on.  HAHA bullshit!

Grave Encounters (2011)

From time to time I will be posting films I feel are substantial force in the industry as well as new features worth noting.  My first induction is a new film questionably due to release this year, Grave Encounters.  Written and directed by The Vicious Brothers.  Being an avid viewer and collector of all things horror film this immediately stood out to me.  Unlike its raw footage style film techniques its predecessors seem to have over saturated in the past few years, I'm confident these guys hit the nail on the head. Check out the official trailer.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: SKREAM

Ollie Jones, who records as Skream, has been at the for front  of the DubStep genre since it broke spewed out of London.  One of dubstep's first and most influential producers, he has played a very important role in the genre's development. His debut album Skream! was released in 2006, and was followed up by Outside the Box in 2010. Skream is also a member of the dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man, along with fellow producers Benga and Artwork. The group released their self-titled debut album on 11 October 2010.  It almost been a year but sources say he is at work on a new record.  He is extremely relevant and takes DubStep to whole other spectrum of what is expected from the genre. He is a must hear.

AWARD FOR ACTOR BEHAVING IRRATIONALLY GOES TO: CHARLIE SHEEN

"Not a day that cost anybody any money," Sheen said in the Today Show interview referring to his IRRATIONALLY popular sitcom 'Two Men and an Overweight Baby'.  Or something like that.. "I missed practice. We're talking about practice. To quote the great Allen Iverson, practice. Come on guys we're talking about practice."  Practice makes perfect, you're a classic douche!

There Going Wild In Ohio

Unionists and pro union supporters have gathered today in what is being called "Rally to Save Ohio's Middle Class."  Reportedly 20,000 protesters are expected to attend.  In an effort to fight opposition against collective bargaining rights, these protesters have gotten louder.  What is evident now is that what few states that have been involved, with what is at stake for their public workers has become a national debate gaining the interest of all workers country wide.

What is collective bargaining you ask?  Well lets get fancy.  It is a process of negotiations between employers and the representatives of a unit of employees aimed at reaching agreements which regulate working conditions. Collective agreements usually set out wage scales, working hours, training, health and safety, overtime, grievance, pension and rights to participate in workplace or company affairs.  This bascially accounts for any and all situations that secure rights and job security, as well as over all condition of the public workers job.

The circumstances have pitted Republicans against Democrats nationally as well.  President Obama had spoke on Monday of support for pro public workers.  Many Republicans have spoken against.

My question is how the conservative MONSTERS, ACTING IRRATIONAL, wait to the last minute to reform what they consider budgetary problems by attacking the way of laugh for the majority of unionized public workers.  Perhaps the fact that millions of dollars are pumped into this less than advantageous government would take the time to look deeper into their budgetary short falls, they could recognize its not our fault the economy is in the shitter.

LOOK AT THEM GO!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MAC MILLER

Young, Dumb and Full of... Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza?  Mac Miller is quickly becoming a staple for many high school students, as well adults, mp3 players.  With his track "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" basically summing up with this kid is about, and of course countless references of excessive ganja smoke. It is no question why this kid is the proverbial poster boy for young, white, angst driven youths.  I have to apologize for alluding to the fact that his music can only be appreciated by white youths.  Because, frankly this kid is the shit. Everyone seems to be given this guy a listen.

What you can definitely get from this kid is the growing popularity of the Pittsburgh sound he and many artist alike are flushing the streets with as of late.  Most notably, Wiz Khalifa, who both shared time together on Rostrum records, which Miller's music currently resides.  They have a very similar sound and more importantly love to smoke weed.  After all that is mostly what they rap about.

Although he may still have that prepubescent vocal ability the lyrics he spits show a young man who can manipulate and produce top notch word play.  Perhaps still the least relevant aspect of hip-hop currently being played on a mainstream level. Not to mention his beats backing his pipes are definitely a more mature and sincere hip-hop sound.  This combination compliments his work very well. Not mention the help from his producer Big Germ. He is no stranger to the mix tape game and I'm sure he will produce a full length product that would please his growing fan base.

Gadhafi, You So Crazy...

Soon after Moammar Gadhafi's interview, a joint production with ABC News' Christiane Amanpour and the BBC, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said the Libyan strongman sounded "delusional."

"And when he can laugh in talking to American and international journalists while he is slaughtering his own people, it only underscores how unfit he is to lead and how disconnected he is from reality," she said.

Gadhafi has lost any legitimate possibly to rule honorably since he obviously decided to war against his people.  Somehow he continues to deny any opposition taking place in his regime.  Whatever delusions of  grandeur Gadhafi is channeling his ideas from he obviously has neglected to acknowledge the diatribe from his "faithful" followers.  Perhaps, maybe its the fact that the voluptuous, Galyna Kolotnytska, his faithful Ukrainian nurse has finally decided to desert him after all.  We all know by now the effects of a blond "bomb shell."

Whatever the case may be, Gadhafi has to be socially inept to not see that his "faithful" followers are obviously over his less than stellar performance as a leader; war monger.  The man is a menace and after his overwhelming involvement in the release of, Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, the 1988 Lockerbie airliner bomber, one must come to realize harboring any type of terrorist is not a good look these days.  Which brings me to one little thought, what the hell were you thinking, Britain Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Queen Elizabeth, for "encouraging" Scottish authorities in Megrahi's release?  Seriously, hidden agenda much?  You didn't play with bullies when you in grade school, lets not start now.

Honestly this world is going really hard on ass backwards politics. Check out the footage from the interview:
